Again a new week here in Kufstein, and I can definitely say time flies. I really like it here, and I am totally settled. I really like the people, all the exchange students are nice and the courses are interesting. In addition, living on my own is going well.

This week a morning walk was organized by the sports association of the FH Kufstein. They organize various activities throughout the semester and everyone can sign up. This morning walk was to the “Pendling”, a mountain of 1563 meters, where we would watch the sunrise. It was a great experience. We had to leave at 4.30 AM, so we would be around 5 AM at the starting point. From this point we walked up towards the top. Around 6.45 AM we arrived at the top and watched the sunrise. It was amazing to experience this and definitely worth getting up at 4 AM.
The rest of the week I had many classes and I had to write various reports for some courses. Also, I had a new course, called Austrian Culture and History, during this course we will make several excursion towards Innsbruck, Salzburg and Kufstein. All of these classes are on Saturday. The first class we made a tour through Kufstein. The teacher told us some great things about the history of Kufstein, which I didn’t know. So it was great to get some more information about Kufstein and how it was build up. In addition, we visited the fortress of Kufstein, from here you have a nice view all around Kufstein. The upcoming weekends we will make trips towards Innsbruck and Salzburg.

Furthermore, we went skiing on some free days to Hintertux again. It is great to be in an area where you can go skiing whenever you are free. The weather is great, and lots of snow on top of the glaciers. Unfortunately, there is no snow yet in Kufstein, but probably upcoming weeks snow will fall in this area.
